Abstract:

The navigation device (100) has: a current-position-information acquisition unit (position-of-self acquisition unit (42)) that acquires current position information; and a direction-of-progress determination unit (for example, a route search unit (44)) that determines a direction of progress on the basis of the acquired current position information and destination position information. The navigation device (100) further has: a sound-producing unit (for example, a parametric speaker (30)) that produces audio sound; and an audio control unit (41) that controls the sound-producing unit in a manner so that the audio can be heard from the direction of progress with respect to a user.
