Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an ND filter which has a plastic base material and exhibits excellent durability; and an ND filter for eyeglasses. [Solution] An ND filter comprising a plastic base material is plastic and a light-absorbing film having a plurality of layers disposed on at least one surface of the base material. The first layer (initial layer) from the base material side of the light-absorbing film is a SiO2 layer or an Al2O3 layer. In addition, the light-absorbing film contains at least one NiOx layer comprising NiOx (x is 0-1), and at least one of the NiOx layers is sandwiched between a base material-side adjacent layer, which is the layer adjacent to the NiOx layer on the base material side, and an opposite-side adjacent layer, which is the layer adjacent to the NiOx layer on the opposite side from the base material side and is formed from a material that is different from that of the base material-side adjacent layer.
