Abstract:
A near-infrared laser, comprising a front cavascope, a laser crystal, a Q-switched crystal, a quasi-phase-matched crystal, a wavelength selection crystal, and a rear cavascope. By applying an intracavity cascade frequency-doubled optical parametric oscillator (cSHG-OPO) method and utilizing quasi-phase-matching of a periodically poled crystal, a second-order nonlinear coefficient d 33 of a nonlinear crystal is utilized to the fullest extent. A cascade second-order nonlinear effect simulates a third-order nonlinear effect, and a similar third-order nonlinear wave mixing effect is produced around the pump wavelength so as to generate a wideband parametric gain; by means of a method for improving the fundamental frequency laser in a resonant cavity and the frequency-doubled optical power density, an intracavity parametric gain is significantly increased so as to decrease a threshold of parametric oscillation; an intracavity wavelength selection element is then used for generating a parametric oscillation laser output at the specific wavelength. The structure and the method in the present invention make the structure of a near-infrared laser in a broad wavelength range greatly simplified, and facilitate miniature and high efficiency of the laser.
