Abstract:
A near infrared sensor cover (20A) is formed into a plate shape and arranged in front of a near infrared sensor (11) on a vehicle (10) along the direction of travel of near infrared rays (IR1) transmitted from the near infrared sensor (11). In the near infrared sensor cover (20A), a main part along the thickness direction is made up of a transparent or translucent base material (21), while a part of the cover along the thickness direction is constituted by a brilliant decorative layer (24) that reflects visible light but transmits near infrared rays (IR1, IR2). The brilliant decorative layer (24) has a metallic luster. The near infrared sensor cover (20A) has a near infrared ray transmittance of 70% or more and a visible light transmittance of 70% or less.
