Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To reduce working man-hours and increase machining accuracy of machining a
workpiece. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] This neck part grinding device (1)
comprises a grinding unit (20) having a disk-like grinding wheel (W) and a grinding
wheel rotating unit (30) for rotating the grinding wheel (W) and a machining unit
(10) having a spindle (15) rotatingly holding a rotary tool (T) and a table (12)
on which the grinding unit (20) is placed and performing relative motion of the
spindle (15) to the table (12) by numerical control. The spindle (15) and the table
(12) can be moved relative to each other while the rotary tool (T) and the grinding
wheel (W) are rotated relative to each other. Since the rotary tool (T) is ground
by the grinding wheel (W), the shape of the neck part of the rotary tool (T) can be
modified.
