Abstract:
The present invention relates to a needle bar and sewing machine needle coupling structure of a sewing machine, enabling a sewing machine needle to be easily coupled to a predetermined position on a needle bar, thereby preventing the sewing machine needle from colliding with the tip of a shuttle and enabling a sewing process to be stably performed. The needle bar and sewing machine needle coupling structure of a sewing machine is characterized by comprising: a needle bar which, by means of a power part provided to a sewing machine, repeatedly moves in the direction of an object-being-sewed which is positioned at a presser member; and a sewing machine needle which is coupled to the needle bar so as to manufacture the object-being-sewed. The needle bar comprises: a coupling hole formed at the inner center part thereof; a tightening hole penetratingly formed at the side part of the needle bar; and a tightening screw coupled to the tightening hole so as to fix the sewing machine needle which is inserted into the coupling hole, wherein the inner diameter of the coupling hole is formed so as to form up to 6 to 8 polygons. The sewing machine needle comprises: a shank insertedly coupled to the coupling hole; a needle blade extendedly formed on one side of the shank; a needle eye formed on the end part of the needle blade; and a scarf formed on one side of the needle blade and having closely adhere thereto the tip of a shuttle where a lower thread is guided so that same is interlaced with an upper thread inserted in the needle eye, wherein the outer diameter of the shank is formed so as to form up to 6 to 8 polygons, so as to correspond to the coupling hole. The sewing machine needle is formed so that, according to a change in the diameter of the needle blade, the position of the needle blade is eccentrically formed with respect to the length-directional central line of the shank, thereby enabling the position of the scarf of the needle blade to be maintained at a predetermined distance from the tip of the shuttle without having to adjust the position of the tip of the shuttle every time the size of the needle blade changes.
