Abstract:
A needle body (3) for medical use is a hollow needle and has a sharp first needle point (5) at its tip. In the vicinity of a root portion of a tip face (51) of the first needle point (5), there are provided a concave face (511) dented in toward a center axis (O) of the needle body (3); a flat portion (512) at a tip portion, inclined relative to the center axis (O); a concave face (513) located at a position nearer to the tip side than the concave portion (511) and dented in from the vicinity of the root portion toward the center axis (O) side; a convex face (514) located between the concave face (511) and the concave face (513) and projecting to the opposite side of the center axis (O); and a flat face (515) positioned between the concave face (513) and the convex face (514). Adjacent ones of the faces (511-515) are continuous, providing the tip face (51) with an undulated form. The structure above prevents insertion resistance from increasing and coring from occurring.
