Abstract:
A negative electrode active material disclosed in the present application contains lithium titanate having a spinel structure and fulfills the relationship represented by the following formula: B×P < 50 wherein B represents the specific surface area (unit: m2/g) of the lithium titanate as measured by a BET method and P represents the pH value of bidistilled water as measured under such conditions that 1 g of the lithium titanate is immersed in 50 cm3 of the bidistilled water and the bidistilled water is agitated for 30 minutes.
