Title:
NEGATIVE ELECTRODE ACTIVE MATERIAL FOR NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERIES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/172378
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
For the purpose of proposing a novel negative electrode active material for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries, which has excellent dispersibility even if the particle diameters thereof are relatively small, the present invention proposes a silicon-containing negative electrode active material for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries, which contains negative electrode active material particles that have a D50 of 0.1-5.0 μm based on the volume-based particle size distribution as determined by a laser diffraction/scattering particle size distribution measuring method, each of said negative electrode active material particles having a surface layer that contains oxygen, silicon and carbon on the whole or a part of the active material surface.
