Abstract:
Proposed is a novel negative electrode for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries, which is not decreased in the battery capacity even if charging and discharging are repeated. Proposed is a silicon-containing negative electrode active material for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries, which contains negative electrode active material particles that are provided with surface layers containing oxygen and titanium or aluminum on the whole or a part of the active material surfaces.
