Abstract:
Provided is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having excellent safety and charge/discharge cycle characteristics. The negative electrode active substance for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to one embodiment of this disclosure contains an Si-containing compound material. The Si-containing compound material contains: base particles having Si microparticles dispersed in a base phase thereof; and GaN that coats the surface of the base particles.
