Abstract:
The present invention is a negative electrode-active substance that includes negative-electrode active substance particles, wherein: the negative-electrode active substance particles contain silicon compound particles including a silicon compound containing oxygen; the silicon compound particles contain a Li compound; an aluminum-phosphorus composite oxide adheres to at least a part of the surface of the negative-electrode active substance particles; the aluminum-phosphorus composite oxide is a mixture of P2O5 and Al2O3; the mass ratio of the P2O5 and Al2O3 is within the range of 1.2 < P2O5 / Al2O3 < 3.0; and the negative-electrode active substance particles to which the aluminum-phosphorus composite oxide adheres have at least one peak, in a P2p waveform obtained with x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, within the range of more than 135 eV of binding energy and no more than 144 eV. A negative electrode substance can thereby be provided in which, when used as the negative electrode substance of a secondary cell, cell capacity is increased and cycle characteristics and initial charge/discharge characteristics are improved while stabilizing the slurry.
