Abstract:
To enlarge the capacity of the negative electrode of a secondary battery.
A negative electrode which comprises a non-aqueous electrolyte solution and a negative electrode active substance, wherein the reductive decomposition potential of the non-aqueous electrolyte solution is not higher than the battery reaction potential of the negative electrode active substance, and the content of the negative electrode active substance in the negative electrode is 76 wt% or greater. The negative electrode may be a negative electrode wherein the non-aqueous electrolyte solution comprises a mixture of an ether-type solvent with a solvated electrolyte salt and a low-viscosity organic solvent and the mixing ratio of the low-viscosity organic solvent to the sum of the mixture and the low-viscosity organic solvent is smaller than 80 wt%, and/or a negative electrode wherein the ether-type solvent contains Tetraglyme.
