Abstract:
The present invention is a negative electrode for lithium ion secondary batteries, which is provided with a negative electrode active material layer that contains a negative electrode active material and a binder, and which is configured such that: the negative electrode active material contains an Si-based material; the binder contains a solid polymer electrolyte; and the content of the solid polymer electrolyte in the negative electrode active material layer is 25-85 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the total content of the Si-based material and the solid polymer electrolyte. A lithium ion secondary battery according to the present invention is provided with a positive electrode and the negative electrode for lithium ion secondary batteries according to the present invention. Consequently, the present invention is able to provide: a negative electrode for lithium ion secondary batteries, which contains an Si-based material, and which is capable of increasing the capacity of a lithium ion secondary battery, while improving the charge/discharge cycle characteristics; and a lithium ion secondary battery which is provided with this negative electrode for lithium ion secondary batteries.
