Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of improving performance. This negative-electrode material is for a battery, and includes carbon, tungsten trioxide, and silicon particles (33) containing silicon. When measured using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, the silicon particles (33) have a rate equal to 3 or more by atomic concentration of a Si quantity of Si2p derived from pure silicon relative to a Si quantity of Si2p derived from SiO2 in the surface layer.
