Title:
NEGATIVE-ELECTRODE MATERIAL FOR USE IN LITHIUM-ION SECONDARY BATTERIES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/037114
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to provide a novel negative-electrode active-material coating material that combines reduced irreversible capacity with reduced resistance. In order to solve that problem, this invention provides a negative-electrode coating material for use in lithium-ion secondary batteries, said negative-electrode coating material being characterized by being representable by formula (1) and further characterized in that: Z in formula (1) represents a carboxyl group (-COOX), a sulfo group (-SO3X), or a phosphate group (-O-PO(OX)2); X comprises hydrogen, an alkali metal, or an alkaline earth metal; R3 in formula (1) comprises a fluorine-containing functional group; R1 and R2 in formula (1) each comprise hydrogen or an alkyl group; and m1 represents the repetition count of the constitutional unit. Optimizing the positions of fluorine and an ionic functional group makes it possible to provide a novel negative-electrode active-material coating material that exhibits high lithium-ion conductivity and combines reduced irreversible capacity with reduced resistance.
