Abstract:
Provided are a negotiation method for an operation mode, and a device and a chip system. Provided is an operation mode negotiation method. The method comprises: an initiating end sending an operation mode indication (OMI), wherein the OMI comprises a preamble punctured bandwidth indication, the preamble punctured bandwidth indication is used for indicating a bandwidth range for bearing a signaling field, and the signaling field at least carries all signaling information required to demodulate data in a physical protocol data unit (PPDU); and the initiating end then performing PPDU transmission with a responding end according to the bandwidth range indicated by the preamble punctured bandwidth indication. By means of the method, an initiating end indicates, in a semi-static manner, a preamble punctured bandwidth operation mode (OM) supported by a responding end, such that the throughput rate and the power consumption/complexity are better balanced. Further provided are a content channel mode OM, and a signaling field receiving position OM negotiation method.
