Abstract:
Disclosed is a nest-type die comprising an outer die having a concave portion, an inner die to be housed in the concave portion, and a positioning means for positioning the inner die relative to the outer die so that the inner die presses the inner peripheral surface of the concave portion of the outer die when the outer die and the inner die are preheated by thermal expansion of the dies themselves. The positioning means may be a member inserted in the concave portion of the outer die with the inner die so as to abut on the inner peripheral surface of the concave portion of the outer die and the inner die at the time of preheating, and to bias the inner die toward the inner peripheral surface of the concave portion of the outer die located on the side opposite to the positioning means. Alternatively, the positioning means may be the inner die, and when the nest-type die is preheated, the inner die is expanded to abut on the inner peripheral surface of the concave portion of the outer die, and so that the inner die is biased toward the inner peripheral surface of the concave portion.
