Title:
NETWORK APPLIANCE REDUNDANCY SYSTEM, CONTROL DEVICE, NETWORK APPLIANCE REDUNDANCY METHOD AND PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/147193
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to implement a stateful fail-over in a redundant configuration using two different models of network appliances, a network appliance redundancy system comprises: a first switch which is disposed at a stage previous to two different models of network appliances used while being switched between an active system and a backup system; a second switch which is disposed at a stage subsequent to the two different models of network appliances; and a control device which is provided with a conversion rule management unit for, on the basis of header information relating to a packet transmitted from the first switch, and header information relating to the packet received by the second switch via the network appliance of the active system, learning the header conversion rule of the network appliance of the active system, and at the time of switching to the network appliance of the backup system, instructs the second switch to rewrite a header so as to obtain the same output packet as that from the network appliance of the active system on the basis of the header conversion rule.
