Abstract:
Method, apparatus, and computer program product for a serving cell in a wireless communication system determining blacklisted beams from a neighboring cell, exchanging blacklisted beam information with the neighboring cell, and scheduling beam and user equipment transmission based on the exchanged information. A blacklisted beam could be regarded as an interference beam from the neighboring cell. User equipment may be scheduled for a transmission burst prior to making the determination. Determining such a beam can involve ascertaining the blacklisted beams of the neighboring cell in each time slice of a transmission burst. A beam could be blacklisted if it is above a predetermined threshold. Exchanging could be done either through a central controller or by direct reporting between the cells, and done perhaps via a backhaul interface or during specified time slices based on inter-cell coordination or determined implicitly. Scheduling would avoid transmission in the direction of blacklisted beams.
