In the present invention, one of constituent devices of a vide recording/delivering system can be replaced with a generic IT device, which is not equipped with a function to execute a dedicated protocol specialized for the vide recording/delivering system, without impairing functions which are implemented by the entire vide recording/delivering system by using the dedicated protocol specialized for the vide recording/delivering system among the devices which constitute the vide recording/delivering system, thereby reducing the cost of the vide recording/delivering system. Each network camera receives a video data delivery request, which is transmitted from a network camera control terminal by using a dedicated protocol specialized for a vide recording/delivering system, by using the dedicated protocol specialized for the vide recording/delivering system and delivers, in response to the video data delivery request, currently captured live video data, or video data which are obtained from a storage device by using a general-purpose protocol, to the network camera control terminal by using the dedicated protocol specialized for the vide recording/delivering system.
