Abstract:
A network image downloading method and system for a mobile terminal relates to the field of mobile terminal application development. The method comprises: a mobile terminal creates an image download interface (S1); the mobile terminal downloads an image via the image download interface (S3), wherein image download information is displayed during downloading; the mobile terminal compresses the size of the downloaded image to obtain a compressed image (S4); and the mobile terminal determines whether the compressed image occupies more than a specified amount of memory, and if so, continues to compress the compressed image, and if not, saves and displays the compressed image (S5). The method and system of the invention significantly reduce mobile terminal memory occupied by a downloaded image, avoiding freezing of an app, ensuring smooth running of the app, and greatly improving user experience.
