Abstract:
Disclosed is a data packet processing method, used in a computer device in a software-defined network (SDN). After receiving a data packet of a data stream, a network interface card (NIC) in the computer device queries a flow table set according to matching information of the data packet, and if a flow table is matched in the flow table set, processes the data packet according to the flow table, and if no flow table can be matched in the flow table set, sends the data packet to a virtual switch, so that the virtual switch obtains a flow table corresponding to the data stream in which the data packet is located, and stores the flow table in the flow table set so that the NIC can directly process subsequent data packets of the data stream in which the data packet is located. The method reduces the work load of the virtual switch, and increases the work efficiency of the computer device.
