Abstract:
Disclosed in embodiments of the present invention is a network port type identification method, used in a first device having a compatible local area network (LAN) port and wide area network (WAN) port. The method comprises: the first device, after receiving an access signal for connection to a second device connected to the first device, acquiring an interaction message between the first device itself and the second device; deciding the message type of the interaction message; determining a network port type according to the message type; network port types comprise: LAN port and WAN port.
