Abstract:
A network selection method and apparatus relate to the technical field of communications and can determine a core network that a next-generation user equipment (UE) accesses via an evolved node base station (eNB) in evolved Long Term Evolution (eLTE). The method comprises: a first core network device receives a first message sent by a radio access network device, the first message carrying first information used for representing a first network to which the first core network device belongs, a terminal device requesting access to the first core network device; and when the first core network device does not allow the terminal device to access the first network, the first core network device sends a second message to the radio access network device, the second message carrying second information used for instructing the terminal device to access a second network, the second network coexisting with the first network.
