Title:
NEURAL ELECTRODE FOR RECORDING AND/OR STIMULATION PURPOSES WHICH IS INTENDED TO BE ADHERED TO BRAIN SURFACE UPON USE, AND RECORDING OR STIMULATION METHOD USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/063070
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are: a neural electrode for recording and/or stimulation purposes, which is flexible, can be closely adhered onto the surface of the brain and is not deteriorated with respect to adhesiveness under a long-term embedded state; and a method using the neural electrode. The neural electrode 1 according to the present invention is intended to be used for recording and/or stimulation purposes, and is configured such that a sticking part 2 that is a sheet-like electrode is adhered onto the surface of the brain upon use. The neural electrode is characterized in that the sticking part comprises at least: an insulation sheet 3 of which one surface serves as a sticking surface to the surface of the brain; and an electroconductive wiring 4 which is positioned on a surface of the insulation sheet which is opposite to the sticking surface. The neural electrode is also characterized in that multiple dot-like electrode parts 4a in the electroconductive wiring are exposed from pores 3a formed in the insulation sheet, the insulation sheet is an elastomeric thin film having a thickness of 2 to 100 μm, and the electroconductive wiring has a thickness of 10 μm or less.
