Title:
NEURAL ELECTRODE SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/204084
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a neural electrode system which is easy to insert, has a sufficient light emission intensity, has a high degree of freedom regarding the relative positional relationship between a light emission position and an electrode position, and can be used for investigating local neural networks. [Solution] A tubular electrode 11 has a plurality of electrodes 22 arranged side by side on an outer surface of an elongated cylindrical tube body 21 in the length direction thereof. The tube body 21 is formed of a translucent material. An insertion body 12 is provided so as to be insertable inside the tubular electrode 11 and so as to be movable inside the tubular electrode 11 in the length direction of the tubular electrode 11. The insertion body 12 has a light emission means 25 which is provided so as to be able to emit light in a lateral direction of the tubular electrode 11, when the insertion body 12 is inserted into the tubular electrode 11.
