Abstract:
Provided is a neutron capture therapy device that can perform neutron beam radiation in which radiation exposure in normal sites is suppressed. A neutron capture therapy device (1) comprises: a cylindrical neutron shielding part (5) that surrounds a patient (2) and has an opening (4) corresponding to a treatment site (3) of the patient (2); a cylindrical neutron deceleration part (6) that surrounds the neutron shielding part (5) and is substantially axisymmetric; a plurality of neutron production devices (7) that are positioned in locations at the outer circumference of the neutron deceleration part (6), said locations corresponding to the opening (4); and radiation part movement mechanisms (8) that cause the neutron production devices (7) to move in the circumferential direction along the outer circumference of the neutron deceleration part (6).
