Abstract:
Disclosed is an electrocast ultra-thin tube or electrocast ultra-thin ring having a very thin diameter which satisfies specific conditions for physical properties such as elasticity and hardness in spite of its thinness. Also disclosed are uses of such electrocast ultra-thin tube and electrocast ultra-thin ring. Specifically disclosed is an Ni electrocast ultra-thin tube having an outer diameter from 5 μm to 1 mm, a thickness of not less than 1 μm, a Young's modulus of 93-191 GPa and a Vickers hardness of 300-600, while having a polycrystalline structure composed of microcrystalline particles having a particle diameter of 5-300 nm. Also specifically disclosed is an Ni electrocast ultra-thin ring having an outer diameter from 5 μm to 1 mm, a thickness of not less than 1 μm, a height of not less than 20 μm, a Young's modulus of 93-191 GPa and a Vickers hardness of 300-600, while having a polycrystalline structure composed of microcrystalline particles having a particle diameter of 5-300 nm.
