Abstract:
An intermetallic compound having excellent mechanical properties at high temperatures. The intermetallic compound is characterized by comprising: 5-13 at.%, excluding 5 at.%, Al; 9.5-17.5 at.%, excluding 17.5 at.%, V; 0-5 at.% Nb; 50-1,000 weight ppm B; and Ni and impurities as the remainder. It is further characterized by having a double-two-phase structure comprising a pro-eutectoid L12 phase and an (L12+D022) eutectoid structure.
