Abstract:
Provided are: a material which has a dual-phase structure that is composed of a primary phase comprising a first nickel-based intermetallic compound and a proeutectoid phase comprising the first nickel-based intermetallic compound and a second nickel-based intermetallic compound and which has excellent strength; and a method for producing the material at a lower temperature. A nickel-based intermetallic compound composite sintered material which comprises a dual-phase structure that is composed of a primary phase comprising a first nickel-based intermetallic compound and a proeutectoid phase comprising the first nickel-based intermetallic compound and a second nickel-based intermetallic compound different from the first nickel-based intermetallic compound, the material being characterized in that the dual-phase structure has an average crystal particle diameter of 50 μm or less. The material can be produced by a powder metallurgy method.
