Abstract:
A nickel-based rechargeable battery and a manufacturing method therefor. The nickel-based rechargeable battery comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte. Active materials of the negative electrode comprise nickel; and active materials of the positive electrode comprise a carbon and manganese dioxide composite material, the carbon and manganese dioxide composite material refers to a material with manganese dioxide attached on the surface of a nano carbon material carrier or a mixed material of a nano carbon material and manganese dioxide. The electrolyte contains bivalent nickel ions Ni2+ and bivalent manganese ions Mn2+. In the manufacturing, the positive electrode using the carbon and manganese dioxide composite material as the active material is manufactured first, then, the negative electrode using the nickel as the active material is manufactured, the electrolyte containing both the bivalent nickel ions Ni2+ and the bivalent manganese ions Mn2+ is prepared, and finally the positive electrode, the negative electrode and the electrolyte are packaged, so as to obtain the nickel-based rechargeable battery. The nickel-based rechargeable battery has the characteristics of high capacity and long cycle life.
