Abstract:
A compound which emits a high-color-purity red light at a high luminance and has high fastness; and a luminescent element capable of emitting a light at a high luminance. The compound emitting a red light is a Nile Red type compound represented by the formula (1). The luminescent element has a luminescent layer containing the compound.
