Abstract:

A chiral shift reagent comprising a sugar derivative for 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectrometry, of which the starting material is readily available and the synthesis is easy and which has good performance. An analytical method which comprises measuring the NMR spectra of an optical isomer mixture or an optically active compound in the presence of the chiral shift reagent and determining the mixing ratio of the above mixture or the optical purity and absolute configuration of the above compound.
