Embodiments of the present application provide a node down recovery method and apparatus, an electronic device, and a storage medium. The method is applied to a proxy server in a master-slave system which further comprises a target master node and a target slave node corresponding the target master node that are controlled by the proxy server: if the target master node and the target slave node are both down, the proxy server obtains a prestored persistence file from the target slave node, wherein the target slave node backs up buffered data in the target master node, and the persistence file is generated on the basis of the buffered data in the target slave node; on the basis of the persistence file, deploy a target master node that is not down; finally, deploy a target slave node corresponding to the target master node that is not down. According to the present solution, after the target master node and the target slave node are both down, the master-slave system can be recovered to a normal operating state.
