Abstract:
Noise propagated in an air conditioning device or in ducts is acquired as an input signal, and a canceling sound for reducing noise by cancellation is output downstream in the direction of noise propagation. An output signal for this canceling sound is generated by filtering the input signal with a filter unit. Furthermore, a composite sound of the noise and the canceling sound is acquired further downstream in the direction of noise propagation as an error signal, and a filter coefficient used in filtering by the filter unit is modified by an adaptation unit so that the error signal is reduced. In addition, when an operation to start the air conditioning device or an operation to change the operating conditions of the air conditioning device is performed by the user, the capacity to reduce noise is decreased to below maximum performance and then is restored to maximum performance by way of controlling at least one of the filter unit and the adaptation unit.
