Abstract:
A noise removal unit (102) removes noise and executes a flooring process on an input signal. A density calculation unit (104), on the basis of whether or not the flooring process was performed for points surrounding an observation point in the temporal frequency plane of the input signal for which noise was removed, calculates the density of the points that were not subjected to the flooring process. If the density that has been calculated is below a certain threshold, the partial suppression unit (105) considers the density to be a musical noise component and replaces the power of the observation point with the flooring value, suppressing the musical noise component thereby.
