Abstract:
This non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery contains a cathode, an anode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The anode contains an anode active material whereby lithium insertion/removal reactions proceed at an electrical potential that is at least 1 V higher than the oxidation-reduction potential of lithium. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains an electrolyte salt, a non-aqueous solvent, at least one type of hydroxyalkyl sulfonic acid and at least one type of sulfonic acid ester.
