Abstract:
The present invention obtains a configuration of a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery that can have greater battery thinness and furthermore can stably hold the position of an electrode assembly. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery (1) is provided with an electrode assembly (15), which contains a cathode and an anode, and an outer packaging can (10) that houses the electrode assembly (15). The outer packaging can (10) contains a first member (11) and a second member (12) that are joined to each other and are disposed facing each other sandwiching the electrode assembly (15) in the thickness direction of the electrode assembly (15). The outer packaging can (10) contains an electrode assembly regulating region (10B) having a section at which the dimensions in the thickness direction of the electrode assembly (15) are smaller than the thickness of the electrode assembly (15).
