Abstract:
A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery (10), which is an example of an embodiment of the present invention, comprises an electrode body (14) around which a positive electrode (11) and a negative electrode (12) are spirally wound with a separator (13) interposed therebetween, a non-aqueous electrolyte, and an outer can (16) that accommodates the electrode body (14) and the non-aqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode (12) has a negative electrode core (40), and a negative electrode compounding agent layer (41) provided to the surface of the negative electrode core (40). The electrode body (14) has, on the outer peripheral surface, an exposed portion (42) where the surface of the negative electrode core (40) is exposed, the exposed portion (42) being in contact with the inner surface of the outer can (16). The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a silane compound having carbon-carbon unsaturated bonds, the silane compound content of the non-aqueous electrolyte being 0.5 mass% or less relative to the mass of the non-aqueous electrolyte.
