Title:
NON-AQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY CELL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/001718
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell which poses minimal risk that, subsequent to operation of a current breaker mechanism during overcharging or the like, the current breaker mechanism will resume conducting current. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell according to one embodiment of the present invention has: a positive electrode plate in which a positive electrode mixture layer has been formed on a positive electrode core; a negative electrode plate in which a negative electrode mixture layer has been formed on a negative electrode core; a rolled electrode body (14) in which the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate, with a separator sandwiched therebetween, are rolled together in an insulated state; a non-aqueous electrolyte; a current breaker mechanism of pressure sensitive type electrically connected to at least one of the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate; and an exterior package. The exterior package interior contains excess electrolytic solution (40) present outside the rolled electrode body (14), and the height of the liquid level of the excess electrolytic solution (40) is such that there is no contact with the constituent parts of the current breaker mechanism (27) when the exterior package (25) is positioned horizontally.
