Abstract:
Disclosed is a non-aqueous electrolyte for use in secondary batteries having both long-term flame retardancy and sufficient conductivity for practical use, and which prevents reduction in the battery capacity during charge and discharge under high rate conditions; also disclosed is a secondary battery using said non-aqueous electrolyte for use in secondary batteries. The disclosed non-aqueous electrolyte for use in secondary batteries contains a lithium salt, a specific hydrofluoroether, a specific ether compound other than said hydrofluoroether, and a cyclic lactone. Further, the disclosed secondary battery has a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and said non-aqueous electrolyte for use in secondary batteries.
