Abstract:
Provided is a non-contact power transmission apparatus which can be used as a power transmission device and a power reception device, wherein the non-contact power transmission apparatus can cope with variations in the coupling coefficient between a resonance coil of a power transmission device and a resonance coil of a power reception device, and can be achieved at low cost. The power transmission apparatus capable of bidirectional non-contact power transmission is provided with: a power source; a switching circuit composed of a plurality of switching elements; a resonance system having a coil and a condenser; a driving control circuit which controls ON/OFF operations of each of the switching elements that constitute the switching circuit; and a detection circuit which detects a resonance current flowing in the switching circuit, wherein, on the basis of a resonance current waveform detected by the detection circuit, the driving control circuit controls the ON/OFF operations of each of the switching elements constituting the switching circuit, whereby power transmission and power reception are performed.
