Abstract:

A non-contact power transmission device (power transmission device (90)) is provided with: multiple power transmission coil units (700-1 to 700-5); multiple detection units (701-1 to 701-5) which detect foreign substances on each power transmission coil unit and in the periphery of each power transmission coil unit; a communication unit (810) which communicates with a vehicle (10); and a control unit (800) which selects one of the power transmission coil units (700-1 to 700-5) on the basis of mounting position information for a power reception device (power reception coil unit (100)) obtained from the vehicle (10) by the communication unit (810), and which guides the vehicle towards a power transmission coil unit that is different from the selected power transmission coil unit before the vehicle (10) stops if the detection unit detects foreign substances on the selected power transmission coil unit. As a consequence, it is possible to prevent power transmission efficiency from declining due to foreign substances in a power transmission device (non-contact power transmission device) provided with multiple power transmission coils.
