Abstract:
The invention provides a non-destructive spectrometric instrument adapted to irradiate a measurement subject without causing optical attenuation. A non-destructive spectrometric instrument for measuring the amounts of the components of a measurement subject from absorbances for different wave lengths comprises a positional detection light emitting means (155) and a plurality of light emitting means (153) having different light emission wavelengths which are disposed on a circumference and directed to the center of the circumference, a mirror (71) positioned at the center of the circumference for reflecting the light from the light emitting means to a measurement subject (60), and a reflected light detection means (172) for detecting the intensity of the light radiated to the measurement subject and diffused and reflected within the measurement subject, wherein the mirror (71) is attached to a rotary body (73) driven by a stepping motor, a positional detection light receiving element (156) is installed close to the positional detection light emitting means (155), the arrangement being such that it is detected that the light introduced into the inner space of the rotary body from a slit (731) in the rotary body (73) is diffusedly reflected in the inner space and reaches the positional detection light receiving element (156) via the slit (731) in the rotary body, whereby the origin of the rotary body is determined.
