Abstract:
This invention relates to a non-flowing Zn/NiOOH storage battery, comprising a housing, an anode, a cathode and an electrolyte. According to the invention, the non-flowing Zn/NiOOH storage battery comprises: a first porous carbon-based current conductor (1) having a zinc-containing anode material electrochemically deposited thereon to form a porous anode; an electropolymerized zinc whisker growth suppressant, conformally applied to the porous anode; a second porous carbon-based current conductor (2) having a NiOOH-containing cathode material electrochemically deposited thereon to form a porous cathode; a separator (3) and an aqueous electrolyte solution of KOH and ZnO.
