Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a non-specific adsorption inhibitor which is applicable as a blocking agent for western blotting methods that utilize various antigen-antibody reactions, and which enables an analysis at a high S/N ratio with high sensitivity and high accuracy; a reagent for western blotting methods, which contains this non-specific adsorption inhibitor; and a blocking method, in which blocking is carried out with use of this non-specific adsorption inhibitor.
The preset invention relates to: a non-specific adsorption inhibitor for western blotting methods, which contains a copolymer that has a repeating unit represented by general formula [1] and a repeating unit represented by general formula [2]; a reagent for western blotting methods, which contains this non-specific adsorption inhibitor; and a blocking method, in which blocking is carried out with use of this non-specific adsorption inhibitor.
(In general formulae [1] and [2], each of X1 and X2 independently represents an oxygen atom or an -NH- group; each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms; each of R3 and R5 independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms; R4 represents an alkyl group having 1-10 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6-10 carbon atoms or an arylalkyl group having 7-12 carbon atoms; m represents an integer of 1-6; and n represents an integer of 1-3.)
