Disclosed are: a non-woven fabric for a multi-functional filter, which has excellent adsorption performance on various toxic/hazardous substances such as malodorous substances, VOCs, allergens and pathogenic viruses, has an anti-bacterial/anti-fungal activity, and rarely undergoes pressure loss; and a method for producing the non-woven fabric in a simple manner. Specifically disclosed are: a non-woven fabric for a filter, which comprises an insolubilized metal-crosslinked polypeptide and a non-woven fabric coated with the polypeptide and has excellent adsorption performance, and which can be produced by such a simple process that the non-woven fabric is immersed in an aqueous polypeptide solution and further treated with a metal salt; and a process for producing the filter in a simple manner.
