Abstract:
This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution. The negative electrode has a coating film that is derived from lithium bisoxalate borate. This coating film derived from lithium bisoxalate borate has a coating film containing boron element and a coating film containing oxalate ions. The ratio of the boron element to the oxalate ions in the coating film derived from lithium bisoxalate borate is 5 or more. Consequently, there can be provided a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which is capable of reliably exhibiting the effect of the formation of a coating film.
