Title:
NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/084445
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which has a large charge/discharge capacity. A sulfur-based positive electrode active material is used as a positive electrode active material for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery; a material which contains at least one element that is selected from the group consisting of silicon (Si), tin (Sn) and carbon (C) is used as a negative electrode active material; and a material which contains dimethoxyethane is used as a solvent for the electrolyte solution. Since a positive electrode that contains the sulfur-based positive electrode active material is at a low potential, dimethoxyethane that deteriorates in a high-voltage environment can be used as a solvent for the electrolyte solution and the capacity of the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is able to be increased.
